Tom Saaty developed the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) more than 25 years ago. Since then, AHP has been used by decision makers all over the world to model problems in diverse areas such as conflict analysis, marketing, R&D management, strategic planning, and public policy. Thousands of AHP papers have been published, documenting the wide applicability of the approach in ranking, selecting, evaluating and benchmarking decision alternatives. In this presentation, we focus on three key issues: the impact of AHP, the practice of group/team AHP, and some recent technical developments in the AHP methodology.
